A major highlight of Jurel's century was his key 112-run stand for the seventh wicket alongside Rishabh Pant. Joining forces after Ravindra Jadeja's wicket, Jurel provided calm stability while Pant unleashed aggression from the other end. The pair successfully neutralized Sri Lanka's bowling plans, rotating the strike continuously and keeping the hosts out of the game during the opening session.
