Team India led by KL Rahul has left for Zimbabwe tour for the three-match ODI series which is set to kick off from August 18. The 16-member Indian squad was also seen sharing light moments while travelling and their pictures are doing the rounds of Internet.
On Saturday, BCCI tweeted photos of the players who are in the Indian squad against Zimbabwe.
Rahul, who is making a return to cricket field after a long hiatus owing to injury, has not only been declared fit to play in India colours, but has also been given the onus to spearhead India. This will be the first game for KL Rahul after leading Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League 2022.
Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan, who was to lead the Team India in absence of Rahul, now will be seen in the deputy role.
BCCI selection committee had a few days back named India’s 16-member squad for the 3 ODIs against Zimbabwe to be played from August 18-22.
