Royal Challengers Bengaluru's star batter Virat Kohli's dismissal in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders has sparked a massive controversy in the cricketing world. RCB suffered a 1-run loss against KKR in match 36 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Eden Gardens, on April 21 (Sunday). After the thrilling clash, Virat was spotted at the Mumbai airport to reunite with his wife Anushka Sharma, and kids, Vamika and Akaay.
Virat's reaction to Paparazzi
Kohli's outing was cut short by pacer Harshit Rana with a beamer during the KKR vs RCB clash. Virat was extremely disappointed with the decision and straight away opted for the DRS. However, according to the latest technology, it would have been a legal delivery if the former Bengaluru captain was not standing outside of his crease. The Indian batting maestro was left fuming after the decision. He was also seen having an angry discussion with the on-field umpires before exiting.
The star batter was later spotted at the Mumbai airport, where he was spotted by Paparazzi. During this one of the paps present, there said "Virat sir out nhi the aap'. Kohli didn't react to the remark but he looked heartbroken and disappointed in the way he shook his head. The video of this is now going viral across the social space.
Virat Kohli fined fifty percent of match fee
Virat Kohli has been fined fifty percent of his match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct. The star batter admitted that he committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.8 of Indian Premier League's (IPL) Code of Conduct and accepted the match referee's decision.
RCB have suffered their seventh loss of the ongoing season and sixth straight loss of the season. They are currently at the bottom of the points table and are practically out of the playoffs race.
