The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will start after two days with a marquee clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 22 in Chennai. However, another mouth-watering match is also on the horizon as the Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 24.
Recently, the fierce duo of Gujarat-based franchise, Shubman Gill and Kane Williamson walked up to the nets for a practice session at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The star duo was seen chatting during Titans' practice session. The fun interaction between them is captured in the video and ever since is doing rounds on internet.
The franchise shared a video of their training session on the social media handle ‘X’ (Formerly Twitter) with a caption: ‘These two… wholesome’.
In the video, both were discussing something and smiling. Williamson can be heard saying, "If I play at No. 3” then they burst out into laughter.

In the IPL 2024, Gill will lead the GT for the first time. He replaced Hardik Pandya, who led the team in the 2022 and 2023 IPL seasons. Under Pandya's captaincy, GT clinched their maiden title in IPL 2022 and ended up as runners-up in IPL 2023. However, Panday was traded to MI ahead of IPL 2024.

Talking about Gill's IPL's track record, he has mopped up 1373 runs at a strike rate of 147.79 for the Gujarat franchise in the last two years. He also bagged the Orange Cap with 890 runs in 17 matches including three centuries in the 2023 IPL season. The 24-year-old was also turned out to be the second-highest run-scorer ever in a single IPL season, after Virat Kohli’s record-breaking 973 runs in the 2016 IPL season.
Meanwhile, Williamson was removed from IPL 2023 after playing the first match of the season for the GT. He got injured while fielding against MS Dhoni-led CSK. However, he will be in action for the Titans this season.
