Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya was filmed losing his temper on the field during the match against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on April 27 (Saturday). The incident occurred before the start of the 11th over when Piyush Chawla was getting ready for his third over of the spell. Rishabh Pant, who was on the strike, was taking his time before getting ready to face the ball. Hardik was not happy with the amount of time the DC captain was taking before facing the ball and the MI skipper screamed at the on-field umpire from the long-off boundary.

Tough outing for Hardik Pandya against DC

The Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya was taken to the cleaners by the DC opener Jake Fraser-McGurk on Saturday. The young Aussie batter tore into Hardik and played some sizzling shots, sending the balls sailing into the stands with relative ease. As a result, Hardik's spell with the ball was limited to just two overs and he conceded 41 runs in the 12 balls he dished out on Saturday.

Hardik Pandya is having a tough time in the current season of the cash-rich tournament. Both his batting and bowling have been below expectations, and his leadership has also come under intense scrutiny. With the bat, Hardik has managed to score 151 runs across eight innings, maintaining a strike rate of 142.45. As a bowler, the right-arm pacer has claimed only four wickets in nine matches, with an economy rate of 11.95.

Another 250+ score in IPL 2024

After being asked to bat first, the Delhi Capitals got off to a flying start with Fraser-McGurk displaying his explosiveness with the bat yet again. The right-handed batter brought up his half-century in 15 balls and continued to torment the MI's bowling attack. Fraser-McGurk was dismissed after scoring 84 runs off 27 balls with the help of 11 fours and 6 sixes.

Tristan Stubbs launched a late assault on MI and propelled DC's score to 257/4 in 20 overs. Stubbs remained unbeaten on 48 runs off 25 balls.
