Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the remainder of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, as per a report by leading news daily. Jadeja has suffered an injury in the upper body which will prevent him from taking further part in the ongoing IPL 2022.

The Saurashtra all-rounder had not played in CSK's previous clash against Delhi Capitals (DC). He played two games under MS Dhoni after handing over captaincy due to CSK’s poor run in the tournament. In the DC clash, he was replaced by Shivam Dube in the side.

Jadeja led CSK in eight matches this season out of which they managed to win only two. He struggled in every department of the game. He scored just 98 runs from 10 games at an average of 19.33. With the ball, he managed to take just five wickets at an average of 49.60.

CSK still have a slim chance of qualifying for the final. They need to win the rest of their matches by a big margin to improve their net run rate (NRR). Also, they will be dependent on results of other matches to get a place in last four.

CSK will go up against Mumbai Indians (MI) in their next clash at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
