IPL 2022 Purple Cap: Focus on LSG, GT bowlers as top two clash in playoffs spot battle

Table-toppers Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) take on second-placed Gujarat Titans (GT) as the two sides fight to become the first team to qualify for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 playoffs. When the two teams face off at the MCA Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday (May 10) night, a lot of the onus will lie on the bowlers as they look to earn their team's crucial victories. 

Currently in the top 10 is Mohammad Shami, who has 15 wickets in 11 matches this season, bagging an economy rate of 8.29 as well. Meanwhile, LSG's Avesh Khan, who has regularly been a part of the top 10, slipped down to 11th on the standings. His brilliant performance against KKR will be in the spotlight when they take on GT. 

Meanwhile, there were no changes to the top 10 after Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Mumbai Indians on Monday, May 9.
