Four-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will rely the most on their star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 which is slated to kick off from Friday (March 31). MS Dhoni's CSK will lock horns with Hardik Pandya's Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2023 opener at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. They will look to brush aside their lacklustre performance in the last edition and look to start afresh in the sixteenth season of the IPL. CSK will depend a lot on their key players in order to challenge in order to win their fifth title. Jadeja is one such player who is expected to play an instrumental role for CSK in IPL 2023.

Former CSK's star bowler Harbhajan Singh termed Jadeja the best all-rounder in the world while heaping praise on him and said that the 34-year-old will be pushed higher up the order in the IPL 2023.

"One player who I am going to have my eyes on will be Ravindra Jadeja. I want to see what kind of batting he's going to do for CSK. I think he'll be pushed higher up in the batting order (this season). As well as his four overs with the ball will be key," Harbhajan told Sports Star.

"If you look at world cricket currently, there's no better all-rounder than him. So, I am looking forward to seeing Ravindra Jadeja performing in the IPL," Harbhajan added.

The spin legend also spoke about Gujarat Titans' batting line-up and said that Hardik's brigade are very flexible with their batting order. Harbhajan was also effusive in lauding Hardik's batting, who amassed 487 runs and snared eight wickets in last edition to power his team to the title glory.

"One thing which they've done better than the rest is that they've been very flexible. They've never been rigid about who bats where. We saw Hardik Pandya coming up in the batting order and scoring those runs and he wasn't just slogging the ball, he played like a proper batter for Gujarat Titans last season," said Harbhajan.
