Riding on vice-captain Rashid Khan's brilliant innings, Gujarat Titans (GT) secured an important five-wicket victory over the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday. The Titans were in a precarious position following a brilliant five-fer by Umran Malik, but Rahul Tewatia and Rashid's brilliant hitting at the end of the match secured an important win for the Titans.
Both sides were battling for supremacy at the top of the league table, but following the win over SRH, the Titans have gone two points clear of their second-place opponents. Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) were able to defend their meagre total of 144 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as they moved into the second spot with 12 points in their kitty.
