DDCA breaks silence on match-fixing allegations in DPL 2026, Ex-CSK batter Vansh Bedi informed ACU of corruption approaches by Rachit Bhatia

The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) on September 22 issued a statement on allegations of corruption in the recently concluded Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026. DDCA has falsified these allegations terming them as 'unverified'. DDCA has confirmed that it has written to concerned authorities to examine the issue.

The allegations surfaced in Tehelka's investigative report where a Ranji Trophy cricketer claimed to have done spot-fixing in DPL and had team news before the team sheet was revealed.

"The Delhi and District Cricket Association has taken note of recent reports concerning irregularities involving certain players and a franchise associated with the Delhi Premier League (DPL)," the DDCA said in its statement but chose not to reveal the player or team's name.

"DDCA would like to clarify that the allegations referred to in these reports are unverified and have not been established by any competent authority. The association believes it would be inappropriate to draw conclusions about any individual, player or franchise based solely on such allegations.”

Ex-CSK batter informed of corruption approaches

Also, Sports Tak has learnt that Vansh Bedi, a player of Central Delhi Kings, informed the anti-corruption unit (ACU) about the approach from Rachit Bhatia to leak inside information about the team during DPL 2026.

Bedi had been a part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 after he was picked for Rs 55 lakh in the mega auction. However, an injury ruled him out of action in the 2025 season. He wasn’t picked by any franchise in this year’s IPL edition.

Central Delhi Kings went on to reach the DPL 2026 final. However, they were beaten by South Delhi Superstarz in the title clash by seven wickets on August 30.
