Asia Lions produced an impressive all-round show to trounce India Maharajas by 85 runs in the Legends League Cricket (LLC) eliminator clash on Saturday in a perfect revenge of their ten-wicket defeat to their opponents in their last tie. Asia Lions posted a challenging 191/5 in their stipulated 20 overs. In reply, India Maharajas were bowled out for a paltry 106 in 16.4 overs. India Maharajas' fans had nothing to cheer about except skipper Gautam Gambhir's 32 and Mohammad Kaif's stunning catches which left the onlookers in disbelief.
Kaif turned back the clock reminded the crowd of his gun fielding during his playing days when he pulled off a magical one-handed diving catch to send Upal Tharanga packing. The Sri Lankan opener was going all guns blazing as he was batting at 50 in 30 balls with seven fours and one six. While facing Pragyan Ojha, Tharanga cut the ball towards the extra cover. As expected, Kaif put in a full-stretch dive and completed an amazing one-handed superman catch. Kaif didn't stop there as he pulled off another blinder near wide long off to dismiss Mohammad Hafeez. Fans were shocked as the 42-year-old, showed the same commitment in the game, apart from this catch, he dismissed two more batters by picking them up their shots at the outfield.
