Sreesanth's wife criticised Gambhir's behaviour, calling it shocking and questioned his upbringing.

Indian cricket fans observed an unpleasant altercation between Gautam Gambhir and Sreesanth. The former India teammates were involved in a heated argument during a Legends League Cricket (LLC) match on December 6. Gambhir was representing India Capitals, and Sreesanth was playing for Gujarat Giants. Although the exact cause of the dispute is unclear, it began with Sreesanth giving a long stare at Gambhir after hitting boundaries. In response, the former India opener also stared back.

In an emotional video released a day after the incident, Sreesanth characterised Gambhir as "very rude" and dubbed him "Mr. Fighter."

However, during a live session on Instagram the next day, Sreesanth delved into further detail about the exchange. He accused Gambhir of using offensive language, specifically citing the use of the 'F' word. The situation escalated when Gambhir allegedly labelled Sreesanth as a 'fixer,' directly alluding to the infamous 2013 IPL spot-fixing scandal that had tarnished Sreesanth's career.

On the other hand, Gambhir responded cryptically on social media, posting a note that hinted at his indifference to Sreesanth's claims.

He wrote, "Smile when the world is all about attention."

Sreesanth's wife shared her opinion on the heated exchange, saying that Gambhir's behaviour was shocking and questioning the former opener's upbringing. In an Instagram post, Bhuvneshwari Sreesanth strongly reacted to the incident, expressing disbelief at the unexpected behaviour from the former India cricketer.

"It is so shocking to hear from Sree that a player who has played for India with him for many years can stoop to this level. Even after so many years of retirement from active cricket. After all, upbringing matters a lot and it shows up when this kind of behaviour comes up on the ground. Shocking truly shocking," Sreesanth's wife wrote on his Instagram post.

The Kerala pacer not only talked about the heated argument but also accused Gambhir of not respecting his colleagues, including cricketing stalwarts like Virender Sehwag and Virat Kohli.

Meanwhile, former India cricketer Irfan Pathan expressed support for Gambhir, and replied to the tweet with, “Smile is the best answer brother.”
