Smriti Mandhana just can't stop making history, and she isn't stopping anytime soon. The star player produced a sensational 124 off 64 balls to rewrite the record books and power India to a dominant 137-run victory over Hong Kong in their Women’s T20 Asia Cup Group A match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

India vice-captain Mandhana’s blistering innings, featuring 14 fours and seven sixes, guided India to 193 for 5. Hong Kong were then bowled out for just 56 in 16.2 overs. The knock was the highest individual score in Women’s T20 Asia Cup history and the highest by an Indian in women’s T20Is.

During the innings, Mandhana surpassed legendary former captain Mithali Raj to become the leading run-scorer in women’s international cricket, moving to 10,880 runs from Raj’s 10,868. She also claimed her 18th international century across formats, the most by any woman, overtaking Meg Lanning and Laura Wolvaardt, and became the first Indian woman to score multiple T20I hundreds.
Meanwhile, injured teammate Jemimah Rodrigues, who is not part of the Asia Cup squad, celebrated the milestone on social media, writing:
“My sister is a legend.”
Mithali Raj herself also offered warm congratulations, expressing pride at seeing Mandhana go past her record. Mandhana was named Player of the Match as India secured their second win of the tournament.
