Records Kohli Could Breach in Pune Test

Could Surpass David Warner's World Test Championship Tally: Virat Kohli has been a standout performer in the World Test Championship, accumulating 2,404 runs at an average of 38.77, which includes four centuries and 11 fifties. He is just 20 runs shy of eclipsing former Australian opener David Warner's total of 2,423 runs in the WTC, which Warner achieved with an average of 37.27, featuring five centuries and eight fifties.

Could Go Past Don Bradman's Test Century Record: With 29 Test centuries, Virat Kohli is currently tied with the legendary Don Bradman. Scoring a 30th century in Pune would place Kohli ahead of Bradman in the all-time Test century rankings, adding another accolade to his impressive career. After narrowly missing a century in the first Test, he will be keen to capitalize on this opportunity.

Could Edge Past Sanath Jayasuriya's Test Fifty Record: Kohli is currently tied with several notable players, including Greg Chappell, Sanath Jayasuriya, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Tamim Iqbal, and Brendon McCullum, each with 31 Test fifties. Scoring another half-century in the Pune Test would allow him to surpass them, elevating his position on the list of players with the most Test fifties.

Could Surpass Graham Dowling's Record: Currently, Kohli has scored 936 runs against New Zealand, making him the fifth-highest run-scorer in India vs. New Zealand Tests. He is just 29 runs away from surpassing Graham Dowling, who has 964 runs, which would move Kohli up to fourth place on that list.
