Former India captain Virat Kohli has arrived in India for the upcoming three-Test match series against New Zealand which is scheduled to start from October 16. He was spotted at Mumbai airport surrounded by paparazzi some clicked his pictures, others tried to engage with him in a casual conversation. Just as Virat was leaving, one of the paparazzi said "BGT mein aag lagani hai (You have to light up the Border-Gavaskar Trophy)", with the comment leaving the Indian cricket team superstar stumped.

Kohli even asked what exactly the paparazzi had said, saying: "kismien (what do I have to light up?)". The paparazzi then said "BGT mein (in Border-Gavaskar Trophy". Virat then nodded and got inside the car. Here's the clip:

Kohli last featured for India in the recently concluded two-Test match series against Bangladesh where he failed to score in the first Test match and in the second Test Kohli scored 47 and 29 not out respectively.Ā

TheĀ Board of Control for Cricket in India will most likely to announce India's squad for the New Zealand Test series on October 11 (today). As per Sports Tak's sources, the same team that featured against Bangladesh will be picked up for the red-ball series against BlackCaps.Ā

Kohli will look to get his mojo back in the upcoming Test series against New Zealand because he will be the vital cog for India in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 where India will look for a win hat trick on Australian soil.Ā

However, Indian captain Rohit Sharma will likely miss one Test match in the Australia series as he asked for a break from BCCI.Ā
