The incident occurred in the tense final moments of the match when Rauf, in a display of athletic prowess, executed a spectacular catch at long-off to dismiss Hasan Ali. However, the triumph was short-lived as Rauf landed awkwardly, leading to immediate distress to his shoulder.

The gravity of the situation was underscored by Rauf's departure from the field, his right shoulder bound in an elastic bandage, casting a pall over the stadium.

Lahore Qalandars' captain, Shaheen Shah Afridi, provided an update post-match, leaving the cricket community holding its breath for positive news.

"Haris Rauf is injured, he bowled really well today, and I hope he recovers soon. I don't know the extent of his injury, but we're praying for him," Shaheen said.

Rauf's performance prior to the injury was commendable; he delivered a crucial spell, ending with figures of 4-0-22-1. His key dismissal of Shoaib Malik, who was on the verge of steering the game away from the Qalandars, highlighted his importance to the team.
