Mohammad Rizwan features in undesired PSL list of batters featuring Babar Azam with unbeaten 105 in losing cause

Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultans posted a big score on the board against Karachi Kings but still ended up on the losing side. James Vince scored a century as David Warner-led Karachi Kings tasted victory in their tournament opener. Here is the list of batters who ended up on losing side in PSL history despite scoring a century -
 

In PSL 2021, Sharjeel Khan became the first to achieve the unwanted feat. For Karachi Kings, Sharjeel scored 105 against Islamabad United. Karachi Kings lost the match by 5 wickets.
 

In PSL 2023, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam scored 115 off 65 balls to help his side post 240/2. But Quetta Gladiators chased down the total as Jason Roy smashed 145 runs from just 63 balls.
 

In PSL 2024, Lahore Qalandars' Rassie van der Dussen scored an unbeaten 104 off just 52 balls in the run chase against Peshawar Zalmi. Despite the South Africa batter's century, Peshawar Zalmi lost the match by eight runs as they could not chase down 212.
 

In PSL 2024, Usman Khan scored an unbeaten 50-ball 100 for Multan Sultans. Despite setting a target of 229, they lost to Islamabad United by three wickets in a last-ball thriller.
 

In PSL 2025, Mohammad Rizwan became the latest entrant on the list. He scored an unbeaten 105 off just 63 balls against Karachi Kings. James Vince scored 101 runs from just 43 balls as Karachi Kings chased down 235 with four wickets in hand.
 

Meanwhile, Rizwan achieved another milestone. He became the third batter to score 2,500 or more runs in PSL history after Babar Azam (3,504 runs) and Fakhar Zaman (2,526 runs). Rizwan has 2,508 runs from 73 innings, including two centuries and 20 fifties.
