Mumbai bounced back in Ranji Trophy quarterfinal against Karnataka

After being bowled out for a disappointing 120 on the first day, Mumbai bounced back with the ball. Karnataka, who resumed at 110 for 2, looked set for a big first-innings lead, with Mayank Agarwal batting confidently. He top-scored with a well-made 92 off 134 balls.

But once Deshpande and Avasthi found their rhythm, the game turned quickly. The duo used the conditions smartly and triggered a collapse, as Karnataka lost their last eight wickets for just 63 runs. Eight batters failed to reach double figures, and the team was eventually bowled out for 173, giving them a narrow first-innings lead of 53 runs.
