Abhay Chaudhary's 102 off 52 helped Trident Stallions to register another eight-wicket victory against Intersoft Titans in the 27th match of the ongoing Sher E Punjab T20 Cup 2024 organised by the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Sunday.
Intersoft Titans scored 145 runs
While batting first, the batters of Intersoft Titans were unable to fire runs from their bat. Jashanpreet Sidhu became the highest scorer by scoring 25 runs in 20 balls. He was dismissed by Aryaman. Pukhraj Mann and Abhinav Sharma scored 20-20 runs while Imanjot Chahal added 22 runs. Due to this, the team Titans managed to score only 145 runs by losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Whereas for Trident Stallions, Gurnoor Brar was the pick of the bowlers as he got three scalps and Gurwinder Singh, and Aryaman Singh took two wickets each. With this, Gurnoor Brar became the highest wicket-taker in Season 2 with 16 wickets and he also won the Green Cap.
Abhay Chaudhary's match-winning ton
Trident Stallions' batter Abhay Chaudhary was in good touch during the game. He slammed a match-winning century. With this ton he became the third cricketer to score three-digit runs in a single game. Captain Prabhsimran Singh departed after scoring 18 runs and Salil Arora remained unbeaten after scoring 18 runs. Abhay scored 102 runs including 11 fours and five sixes in 52 balls. Trident Stallions chased the score in just 15.2 overs by losing two wickets.
