The blockbuster Indian movie Vikram Vedha seems to have influenced the dressing room of the Indian cricketers. After their boisterous win over India, guided by a brilliantly scored 93 from ace batter Ishan Kishan that helped the Men in Blue chase the target of 279 posted by South Africa, Shubman Gill took to Instagram to share a unique congratulatory message for his teammate Ishan Kishan.

Gill who is opening for India in the ongoing ODI series congratulated Kishan for his brilliant knock in a fashion similar to the movie Vikram Vedha where he holds the face of Kishan and Kishan rests his face in the palms of Gill momentarily just like in the film where Hrithik holds the face of his brother.

In the Instagram video, Gill put a special caption as well, saying, "Well played my Shatak #vikramvedha," Shubman Gill captioned the video, obviously referencing the character of Vedha's brother played by Rohit Saraf, whose character is named Shatak in the movie.

The post was also viewed by the star of Vikram Vedha Hrithik Roshan and incited a reaction from him as he commented “Hahahahaha” on the post. Teammate Avesh Khan also had a few words to say on the post “He is Ardh Shatak (Half-century)", alluding to the fact that Ishan Kishan did not breach the three-figure mark in the 2nd ODI.
The second ODI was important for India, acting as the series-equalising win for the team, having lost the first ODI comprehensively. Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were the star players of the match, helping India chase down a target of 279 after losing openers Shubman Gill and Shikhar Dhawan early.
Knocks like 93 from Kishan and a splendid innings of 113 during the run chase from Iyer made quick work of the target completing it in just 45.5 overs.
The third ODI will be played on Tuesday, 11 October at 11:30 pm (IST) where both teams will be vying for the series win.
