Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has hailed January 22nd as a momentous day for India, expressing his admiration for the newly inaugurated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. In an exclusive interview with India Today, Tendulkar described the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony as a source of pride for all Indians and a historic milestone in the country's rich cultural heritage.
 

He shared his sentiments, stating, “It was a very special experience for me; in fact, this is a historic day. I want to say that the dream has been fulfilled for the entire Indian population. This is a proud moment for our culture and spiritual heritage. This will inspire the next generation. I am very happy that I was able to attend this, and I would like to bring my family here.”

Tendulkar made the journey to Ayodhya early on Monday, January 22, to be part of this significant event. He arrived in Ayodhya ahead of the afternoon ceremony, joining a distinguished list of celebrities, including industrialists, politicians, and film stars, who were also invited to attend.
 

Tendulkar, accompanied by his wife Anjali, expressed his desire to have his entire family visit the temple on a future occasion. Besides Sachin Tendulkar, former Indian cricketers Anil Kumble, Ravindra Jadeja, and Venkatesh Prasad were also seen at the ceremony. Among female sports personalities in attendance were badminton star Saina Nehwal and former captain of the Indian women's cricket team, Mithali Raj.
 

The Ram Mandir, designed in the traditional Nagara architectural style, stands at an impressive 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width, and 161 feet in height. This magnificent structure, valued at Rs 1,800 crore, was financed by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which collected over Rs 3,500 crore in donations from across India and abroad. The temple complex sprawls across 70 acres, with the primary temple area covering 2.7 acres and boasting a built-up area of approximately 57,000 square feet.
