Samson's innings began cautiously, but he quickly found his rhythm. After hitting his first boundary on his seventh ball, he followed it up with a six and then unleashed an all-out assault on the bowlers. Despite losing two partners during the powerplay while chasing a target of 177, Samson's exceptional form was on full display as he effortlessly cleared the boundary ropes. He hit a total of nine sixes and two fours. One of the most memorable shots was a no-look six early in his innings, a powerful display of his confidence and swagger. His determination was clear throughout the knock, which later included four consecutive sixes, showcasing a batter who is truly on a mission.

With the Asia Cup approaching and Shubman Gill's recent selection, there have been questions about Samson's spot as an opener on the team. Despite this, Samson is doing everything he can to prove he is the best choice for the opening position. After a shaky start to the KCL 2025 playing in the middle order, he moved back to the opening spot and immediately blasted an incredible 121 runs off just 51 balls.

He has since maintained this phenomenal form, following up his century with three consecutive fifties, scoring 89, 62, and 83. By continuing to perform with this level of consistency, Samson hopes to demonstrate his full potential and secure his place in the upcoming Asia Cup.
