England's Test skipper Ben Stokes was left bewildered after he found his luggage missing post a British Airways flight. The prominent all-rounder, who recently led his team to level the 2023 Ashes series at 2-2 after being two down against Australia, turned to social media to seek help.

Stokes reached out to British Airways on Twitter, stating that his luggage didn't arrive after the flight and sought help. The airline was quick to respond and ensured they would help.

Stokes tweeted, "Bags not turned up off the plane @British_Airways and help would be greatly appreciated." In response, British Airways wrote, "Hi Ben, I'm sorry to hear this has happened. Can you send us your details in a DM so we can look into this for you? Anthony."

Stokes recently concluded a gruelling five-match Test series against Australia. The star player, who no longer plays in ODIs, plans to utilise his break to get treatment for a nagging knee problem. Despite the injury, Stokes emerged as a top scorer in the Ashes, amassing over 400 runs, which included a remarkable century in the fourth innings at Lord's.

Stokes' next challenge will be a five-match Test series against India, slated to begin in early 2024. Despite victories in two Tests and a draw against the current Test champions, England were penalised 19 points for a slow over rate during the series, gaining just nine points in total.

Stokes retains a positive outlook for England's upcoming tour. England is the most recent team to defeat India on their home turf despite two consecutive series losses in India (4-0 and 3-1).

In a build up to ODI World Cup 2023 scheduled for later this October, England are set to host New Zealand in a white-ball series starting on August 30. These two teams will also inaugurate the ODI World Cup tournament on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
