Australian opening pair of David Warner and Usman Khawaja clicked together at the best possible time for the Baggy Greens. With Pat Cummins' men starring at a daunting target of 384 runs and England looking for a celebratory send-off for Stuart Broad, Day 4 of the ongoing fifth Ashes Test at The Oval was dampened by the rain but not before Warner and Khawaja put on a masterclass of batsmanship under tremendous pressure. As a result, Australia ended Day 4 in a commanding position with 135/0 on the board, needing 249 more runs to win the Ashes 3-1 in England.

A substantial chunk of Day 4 was washed out due to rain. Such has been the weather in England of late and rain gods have dampened the fun on more than one occasion already. With the final day of this year's Ashes series on the horizon, all eyes are on the weather in London. Will rain play spoilsport and dampen Stuart Broad's farewell?

According to Weather.com, London is likely to remain covered with dark clouds and there is a good 50 percent chance of showers in the morning. There is a slight window that might offer some respite from rain but the showers are likely to return in the afternoon as well. By the looks of it, The Oval Test seems to be heading towards a similar ending to the one that the fans witnessed in the previous Test in Manchester.

Well, one would hope that rain gods shower some mercy and cricket takes centerstage on what is being billed as a manic Monday. For Australia, a washout works just fine as they will claim the series by a margin of 2-1. The Three Lions need to pick 10 wickets without conceding the remaining 249 runs in order to level the series. If weather permits, the overcast conditions would assist England pacers on Day 5 and 249 runs is a lot on the final day of a Test match.
