India veteran wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul smashed a century in the first Test match against the West Indies at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This was KL Rahul's second Test hundred on Indian soil, his last Test on in India came against England in 2016, where he was dismissed after scoring 199 runs. 

KL Rahul's unique celebration decoded

After reaching the 100-run mark with a single, Rahul unleashed a unique celebration. He raised his bat while putting his finger to his mouth. This will likely be a reference to the fact that he has recently welcomed a new member into his family. On March 24, 2025, the couple was recently blessed with a baby girl (Evaarah). It seems that he dedicated his special milestone to the new member of his family.

Bollywood actor and KL Rahul's wife, Athiya Shetty, took to her Instagram to share a picture of his husband's unique celebration after smashing a century against the West Indies in the 1st Test match. Here is the picture. 

KL Rahul's Test centuries

KL Rahul reached his 100-run mark on on 190 balls, smashing 12 fours. His last Test century came at the iconic Lord's Stadium in London against England in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2024-25. Nine of his 11 tons have come outside India.
