Atletico's star midfielder, Johnny Cardoso reclaimed the lead with a clinical finish in the 48th minute.

Later, Sorloth completed his hattrick by scoring in the 76th and 87th minute of the clash, completely dashing the hopes of Club Brugge for a comeback.

After a dramatic draw in the first leg, Sorloth's hattrick guaranteed a qualification for the Round of 16 stage of the competition.
