Massimiliano Allegri has publicly reaffirmed his commitment to AC Milan, dismissing speculation linking him to the Real Madrid managerial role for the 2026-27 season. The Italian tactician emphasized his happiness at the club and highlighted his contract, which runs until 2027.
Allegri breaks silence on Real Madrid links amid strong AC Milan commitment
During a recent media appearance, the Serie A club boss, as he ended the speculation around the Spanish side, said:
“I’m happy at Milan and I’m also under contract until 2027”.
The AC Miolan manager added:
“The club is working hard to keep improving the squad for the next year”.
Allegri also praised Milan's ongoing efforts to strengthen the squad for future campaigns, signaling a focus on long-term stability rather than a move abroad. The rumors originated from Italian media outlets like Corriere dello Sport, which reported that Real Madrid views Allegri as a strong candidate to potentially succeed in the Santiago Bernabeu dugout starting next season.
This marks the third time the Los Blancos have shown serious interest in the former Juventus boss, following near-misses in 2019 and 2021. Reports suggest Madrid has even made initial contact, though no formal negotiations appear underway, with other names like Jürgen Klopp also in consideration.
Despite the high-profile interest from one of Europe's elite clubs, Allegri has stressed total harmony with Milan's leadership and expressed satisfaction with the project's direction. Meanwhile, AC Milan is reportedly preparing a contract extension offer to secure him until 2028 or beyond, underscoring their intent to build around the experienced coach amid a solid domestic campaign.
