Star Barcelona defender Jules Kounde has rejected offers from various clubs as he wants to flourish for the Blaugrana. As of now, the Frenchman is contracted with Barca until the summer of 2027, but SPORT claim that he will sign a new deal to stay at Camp Nou till 2030.

Jules Kounde stays loyal to Barcelona

According to the same report, Multiple Premier League sides were interested in Kounde, but the defender prefers his role under Hansi Flick. Currently, he plays as a right-back under the German coach, but is also more than happy to feature as a central defender.

Kounde is set to enter into his new deal after the completion of their pre-season preparations. The Spanish side will open their LaLiga campaign against Mallorca on August 16.

In the last season, the French defender played 53 matches across all competitions for Barca, scoring four goals and eight assists. He will be expected to continue in the same rhythm this year as well.

Kounde joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022 from Seville for a fee of €50 million. Since then, he made 141 appearances across all competitions for Barca, scoring seven goals and 18 assists.

Since then, the defender won two LaLiga titles and one Copa del Rey title.

Marcus Rashford reflects on registration worries ahead of Barcelona debut

There are clouds of worries on Marcus Rashford's LaLiga registration. As of now, He has not been registered by Barcelona after they failed to meet the league's salary limits.

Rashford does not seem to be worried about this and says the club will find a solution. In an interaction with reporters, the winger said:

"I'm not worried. It's something the club needs to resolve, and I trust they will. I'm focused on training and being ready for the start of the competition."

 

 

After failed pursuits of Nico Williams and Luis Díaz, the Spanish giants shifted focus and made Marcus Rashford their primary target. His versatility, pace, and ability to play across the front line provide a much-needed injection into Barcelona's attack.
