Cristiano Ronaldo has made a social media post to celebrate helping Al-Nassr to claim a win over Al-Hazm and scoring his 950th goal. The Portugal icon scored in his side's 2-0 win away from home, taking his tally for the season to six goals.
Ronaldo returned to the playing X1 for his side after a well-received rest from action in the AFC Champions League Two victory against FC Goa in midweek. The 40-year-old seemed to have benefitted from the time off, as continued his scoring form for the Knights of Najd. He made a social media post after the game, expressing his delight at helping his team win.
"Happy to help the team win and to hit 950 goals! Always hungry for more! ", he posted on X.
Cristiano Ronaldo had a tough game for much of the part as his side struggled to create goal-scoring opportunities against Al-Hazm. The former Real Madrid player touched the ball only 31 times, less than any outfield players on either team. He managed to create three chances for his fellow teammates, none of which they managed to convert.
Ronaldo took a step closer to the 1000-goal mark as his goal in the dying stages of the game for Al-Nassr put him exactly 50 goals from reaching his target. The experienced striker is behind only Joao Felix (9) and Joshua King (7) in his hunt for a third consecutive Saudi Pro League golden boot this season.
