Manchester City's goalscoring machine, Erling Haaland has made Premier League history in their 2-2 draw against Brighton at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, March 15. The draw didn't help the cause of the defending champions as they are placed fifth in the standings with 48 points to their name.

After converting his penalty in the 11th minute for Manchester City, Haaland became the first player in Premier League history to reach 100 goal involvements. What's astonishing is that he achieved this feat in less than 100 matches as it took him just 94 games to notch up this feat.
Omar Marmoush was the fouled inside the box due to which City were awarded a penalty. The 24-year-old forward has is second in the race for the Golden Boot as he has 21 goals against his name and is six behind the leader, Mohamed Salah with 27 goals.
Erling Haaland joined the Premier League giants in June 2022 from Borussia Dortmund after a transfer fee of £51 million. In his first season in England, Haaland managed to score career best of 52 goals and provided nine assists in the 53 appearances he made across all competitions.
In the same campaign, Haaland managed to win the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup. He also won the Golden Boot after scoring 36 goals and was awarded as Manchester City's Player of the Year in 2022-23 season. In 2023, Haaland was named as the UEFA Best Player in Europe and since then, there is no stopping the Norwegian as he has become an integral part of Pep Guardiola's side.
Manchester City suffer major blow in pursuit of Real Madrid star
According to Spanish outlet, Fichajes.net, Real Madrid are reluctant to let go of their French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga despite major interest from the Premier League giants. After an average ongoing season, Guardiola will look to add reinforcements and Camavinga could be an ideal addition. The Premier League giants are preparing to offer big money to the 22-year-old star but Real Madrid are adamant not to sell him as they view him in their future plans.
Since joining Real Madrid from Stade Rennais in August of 2021, Camavinga has made a name for himself. He has played as a full-back and even as a wide midfielder for Carlos Ancelotti's side. He signed an extension with the club in November 2023, which will see him at the club until the summer of 2029. Apart from City, Manchester United are also interested in him.
