It's very evident that Barcelona is in a urgent need of having a new and young striker, to replace aging Robert Lewandowski. Till now, there were talks that Barca are aiming to sign Atletico Madrid star forward Julian Alvarez in the upcoming summer.

But it seems that things have started to change a bit as the Catalan club have picked an alternative option, Alvarez.
With all the hints so far in the season, it is almost confirmed that Lewandowski will leave the club at the end of the season, and Barcelona will need a replacement to fill the latter's shoes. The Polish striker's current deal with the Spanish club will come to an end at the conclusion of the ongoing season.
According to a report from Diario Sport, Barcelona still wants Alvarez but are not sure of matching the demands of Atletico Madrid, because of their financial circumstances. Because of this, they have identified Omar Mamoush as their alternative option. The report further said that Barca believe in the Egyptian player's ability to fulfil Hansi Flick's demand.
