The Formula 1 is back and kicks-off with the 2025 Australian Grand Prix on Sunday, March 16. McLaren's Lando Norris has taken the first pole position of the season as he finished in the first spot during the qualifying session. Defending champion Max Verstappen starts Sunday's race at the third spot, while Lewis Hamilton starts from the eighth spot. He will be seen driving for Ferrari after leaving Mercedes.
The 2025 F1 calendar and schedule
For the second time in a row, the Formula 1 season will cater 24 races across the globe. The order has been tweaked in a way to accommodate the teams’ worldwide travel and take care of the logistics.
For the first time since 2019, Australian Grand Prix will kick off the season as the previous host Bahrain moving back due to Ramadan. Once again, the United States will again host three races in the form of Miami, Austin and Las Vegas.

The deal for the Australian Grand Prix was done back in 1993. It is a street circuit that features exciting roads around Albert Park. It features the famous Aughtie Drive and Lakeside Drive.

Just four months after the Adelaide held the first Australian Grand Prix in 1995, the teams made their way back to Melbourne in 1996 for it's first Grand Prix.
