Famous Formula 1 commentator David Croft is back for the new F1 season as it starts with the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday, March 16. He has been an ardent Taylor Swift fans and has been vocal about his admiration for the famous global superstar. As the Australian Grand Prix gets underway, he was asked rather a personal question regarding Swift's love life.
David Croft on Taylor Swift's love life with Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift is dating the NFL star and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce. During the promotions of the Australian Grand Prix, Croft was asked whether the power couple would last for a year, to which he replied,
I hope so! They look happy together.
The video was later shared by the Formula 1's official TikTok account. Not just this, he even added,
Why would they not? What to you know that I don't?
David Croft has even attended Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in 2024 and shared his pictures in which he was donning the singer's merchandise.
David Croft linked up Taylor Swift with Fernando Alonso
Croft even mentioned Taylor Swift's name in his commentary when she was linked with Fernando Alonso in 2023. The rumor was heavily fueled by the F1 pundits during their commentary as both, Swift and Alonso had split with their respective partners.
During his commentary, Croft even mentioned it was a 'Swift' drive from Alonso. It not only ended here but Croft even referred to Alonso driving a 'Gateway Car' and the former joked that it might cause 'Bad Blood'.
Fernando Alonso will be taking part in the upcoming Australian Grand Prix as he drives for Aston Martin. At 43-years-old, Alonso is one of the oldest who still continues to perform at the highest level. His teammate is Lance Stroll, who is the son of Lawrence Stroll, who owns the Aston Martin F1 team.
During last month's three-day testing in Bahrain, Alonso spoke to the media and canceled out the chances of a surprise winner at Albert Park.
It’s going to be difficult. Reliability is so strong these days. There aren’t many retirements, and incidents are rare. Strategies are well-defined. Everything is so precise now that it’s hard to make races unpredictable. It would take something extreme, like crazy weather, to change things up, he said.
