Reports suggest Hamilton is facing internal resistance at Ferrari over car development discussions.

The seven-time world champion’s frustrations mirror Sebastian Vettel’s past struggles with the Italian team.

Lewis Hamilton is reportedly going through internal politics at Ferrari to suggest any fundamental design improvements in the car after a tough start with the team. The Sf-25 has majorly underperformed compared to its competition on the grid and is yet to win a race in the ongoing season, with just six races left.

The British racer moved to Ferrari this season, ending a decade-long stint with Mercedes. This was expected to be a huge move, considering the team's performance in the 2024 season. However, Ferrari had changed the fundamental design of the SF-24 while working on the SF-25, which ended up in an extremely uncompetitive car this season.

While Lewis Hamilton faced struggles adjusting to its drivability, reports from Corriere Della Sera reported that he is having to fight "internal politics" in the team to talk about the major issues with the car. The report further claims that former F1 racer Sebastian Vettel faced similar challenges when he moved to Ferrari back in 2015.

Hamilton is one of the biggest names on the current F1 grid. With seven World Championships under his belt, his contributions to Mercedes led them to continue their dominant run for a very long time. Similar suggestions at Ferrari would also assist the Italian side in becoming one of the top performers on the current grid, however, the reports claim otherwise.

This has further led to Hamilton being frustrated with the team, however, he does not reflect that in his media interactions during a race weekend.

Lewis Hamilton hares heartfelt post

Lewis Hamilton posted a series of images on Instagram as he reflected on a "tough week" after the death of his pet dog Roscoe and the unfortunate brake issue at Singapore. The British racer showcased gratitude, sharing an inspirational caption about Ferrari, which read,

“I'm looking at the positives on track too. The media headlines only tell one story - one where we don't get things quite right, or things don't go our way. But what I have been focused on over the past few months is the other story. The one about how this team responds when things go wrong. How we get back up, and we go again.”

“I'm really proud of this team and want to help deliver the results they and the tifosi deserve. I see the progress we are making, and the hard work that goes into every race, but this is Ferrari. Progress alone is not enough. To achieve greatness we need to go further, be better. There is so much we can achieve together, and if we can build on our successes, and change the things we need to, I fully believe we will get there. Forza Ferrari,” added Lewis Hamilton

Hamilton's post went viral and had 500,000 likes in less than an hour. The stewards awarded the Ferrari racer a time penalty following the race, which put him P8 in the final classification.
