Saturday: Sunny, high of 73°F, no rain expected, wind gusts at 10 mph for Cup qualifying, and 8 mph for the Xfinity race.
Sunday: Sunny, high of 70°F, no rain, wind gusts at 3 mph during the Cup race.
Kyle Larson, coming off a dominant win at Charlotte's Roval, leads the Cup Series standings, joined by three other Hendrick Motorsports drivers. Alex Bowman’s disqualification opened the door for two-time champion Joey Logano, who faces challenges in this three-race segment.
The South Point 400 is set for Sunday afternoon, following practice and qualifying sessions on Saturday. Larson's recent performance includes victories in three of the last seven races at Las Vegas, adding to his total of six wins this season.
In the Xfinity Series, Sam Mayer's controversial victory at Charlotte has propelled him into the playoffs, eliminating Parker Kligerman. The round of eight includes Justin Allgaier, who leads by seven points, with defending champion Cole Custer closely behind.
