The city of Hangzhou, China, is currently buzzing with energy as it hosts the Asian Games 2023. The event, which commenced on 23 September 2023, is set to conclude with a grand closing ceremony on 8 October 2023. As the games progress, Indian athletes have emerged as formidable contenders, impressing the global audience with their remarkable skills and accomplishments.

 

In the ongoing 19th edition of the Asian Games, India are all guns blazing, and have already secured medals in sports like shooting, cricket, squash, sailing, tennis, rowing, equestrian, athletics, badminton, and wushu. With a delegation of 655 athletes representing the country, India's participation in the Asian Games 2023 has been both extensive and impactful.

 

As it stands, India boasts a notable count of 53 medals in the Asian Games as of October 1. This includes 13 gold, 21 silver, and 19 bronze medals. Among the standout performances, the sharpshooters have contributed the most to the medal tally. Notably, Day 8 saw the badminton team adding a silver medal to the country's collection.
