India clinched their second gold medal following the triumph of Jyothi and Ojas Deotale in the compound mixed team event. This victory has firmly established India's strong performance in this edition, ensuring a minimum of five medals in the archery segment.

This outstanding performance has enabled India to surpass its previous best record set in Incheon 2014, where the team secured one gold, one silver, and one bronze. The current edition has already witnessed Deotale and Verma guaranteeing at least two medals by progressing to an all-Indian final in the men's compound individual category. Similarly, Jyothi's advancement to the women's compound individual final assures her of at least a silver medal.

In the lead-up to their golden achievement, the Indian team showcased dominance by defeating their fourth-seeded adversaries 233-219, setting the stage for a finale against Chinese Taipei. The top-seeded Indian trio also displayed their supremacy in the quarterfinals, outclassing Hong Kong 231-220.

On the other side, the Indonesian team, comprising Ratih Zilizati Fadhly, Syahara Khoerunisa, and Sri Ranti, displayed resilience, advancing to the semis after a challenging 232-229 victory over a robust Kazakhstan team.

In the competition, the Indian archers set the tone right from the beginning. Achieving perfection by scoring 10s in their first six-arrow set, they created a significant lead, while their Indonesian counterparts lagged behind. Indonesia struggled to regain their footing, while India's Parneet Kaur, the lowest-ranked qualifier of the team, showcased exemplary skill and determination. The result was a commanding 14-point victory for India.

In summary, India's archery contingent continues to make waves at the continental championship, with consistent performances and a promise of more medals. Their accomplishments underline the country's growing stature in the world of archery.
