India have had a brilliant start to the day in Hangzhou, with the trio of Swapnil Suresh, Aishwary Pratap Singh and Akhil Sheoran winning Gold in the 50m rifle 3 position men's team event.

In a great start to the day for India, the 50m rifle 3 position men's team won Gold after breaking USA's World Record with a score of 1769. Swapnil Suresh, Aishwary Pratap Singh and Akhil Sheoran were the heroes for India, with the previous record being 1761.

In the men's 50m rifle 3-positions event, the youthful trio of Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar (591), Swapnil Kusale (591), and Akhil Sheoran (587) effortlessly surpassed the Chinese team, scoring 1769 points to clinch the gold. China trailed by six points, securing 1763 points, while South Korea settled for third with 1748 points.

Both Aishwary and Swapnil showcased excellent performances, qualifying for the individual finals and securing the top two positions after the qualification round. Although Akhil ranked fifth with a score of 587, he won't participate in the eight-team finals due to the restriction of only two shooters per nation in the individual medal round.
