In an intense race, Yadav and Ram clocked an impressive time of 6:50.41, concluding the event behind powerhouse teams from Hong Kong China and Uzbekistan. Their finishing time was a mere 6.21 seconds adrift of the leading Hong Kong China team, showcasing the tight competition.

This commendable feat wasn't their first highlight of the event. Previously, the pair had ignited their campaign with a dominant display, earning a spot in the Repechage round, which presented an opportunity for a final berth. Their prowess was undeniable as they clinched the third position, setting the stage for their later bronze win.

The race was electrifying from the get-go. With Uzbekistan establishing an initial lead, closely followed by Hong Kong, China, the Indian duo wasn't far behind, forming a prominent lead trio that distanced themselves significantly from the trailing teams. The climax of the race saw a thrilling exchange of leadership at the 1500m mark, with Hong Kong China eventually seizing control and sprinting towards victory.

Parallelly, the men's eight team showcased resilience and tenacity. Initially trailing behind China and Indonesia, they persisted to surpass Indonesia, challenging the formidable Chinese team in an adrenaline-fueled finale. Although their valiant efforts in the concluding moments of the race fell just short, they registered an exceptional time of 5:43.01, missing out on gold by a slim margin of 2.84 seconds.

The day's achievements in rowing had been set into motion by Arjun Jat Lal and Arvind Singh, who had earlier secured a silver medal in the Men's Lightweight Double Sculls. Their achievement had effectively paved the way for India's successful run in rowing at this edition of the Asian Games.

India's consistent accomplishments on Sunday bear testament to the nation's ascending prowess in rowing. As the Asian Games 2023 progresses, expectations are high, with hopes of more stellar performances and medals for India in the forthcoming events.
