Khabib Nurmagomedov Congratulates Magomed Ankalaev
Khabib Nurmagomedov, widely regarded as Russia's most accomplished and dominant fighter, was thrilled to witness a fellow countryman emulate his success by claiming gold at UFC 313.
“Congratulations Brother, Magomed Ankalaev,” Nurmagomedov tweeted after the result was confirmed.
“You made a history. It was amazing performance against very tough opponent.”
After getting the UFC belt wrapped around his waist by Dana White, Ankalaev spoke with Joe Rogan.
“I can’t even put it into words,” he said.
“It’s been such a long way, and here is my dream, it’s on my waist.

Pereira vs Ankalaev: Fight Premise
Given how dominant Alex Pereira was as the king of the Light-Heavyweight division and how Magomed Ankalaev emerged as the formidable contender, made the Pereira vs Ankalaev contest one of the most awaited fights in recent times. However, the fight did not deliver on the aspect of fireworks. Being aware of the brute force of each other, both the fighters respected each other and remained cautious in their surge. Ankalaev and Pereira exchanged pleasantries following the culmination of the fight and later on X, Ankalaev made it known that he was open to having a rematch against Poatan.
