The Indian government is actively working to bring Formula One racing back to the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports plans to remove tax and bureaucratic barriers that previously ended the Indian Grand Prix after its initial run from 2011 to 2013. The race had attracted global attention and featured Sebastian Vettel winning all three editions. The main issues had been high taxes and customs duties classified under entertainment rather than sport, increasing hosting costs. Talks are reportedly ongoing with Formula One management for a possible return, though no official date is confirmed.
