Indian tennis star Yuki Bhambri booked his place in his first ATP final of the 2026 season after he and New Zealand partner Michael Venus advanced to the doubles final of the Geneva Open 2026 with a dominant semifinal victory on Friday.
The Indo-Kiwi pair continued their impressive run in the tournament with a straight-set win over Czech duo Petr Rikl and Adam Pavlasek.

Bhambri and Venus dominate semifinal clash
Seeded third in the tournament, Bhambri and Venus secured a comfortable 7-5, 6-3 victory in the semifinal encounter.
The pair remained composed during crucial moments and consistently applied pressure through strong serving and aggressive net play.
Bhambri and Venus managed to control the tempo of the contest throughout the one-hour-and-12-minute clash while converting important points at key moments.
The Indian-New Zealand duo particularly impressed with their service games and tactical awareness as they closed out the match in straight sets to enter the title clash.
For Bhambri, this marks his first ATP final appearance of the 2026 season and another significant achievement in his doubles career.

Final challenge awaits Bhambri and Venus
Bhambri and Venus will now face the pair of Romain Arneodo and Marc Polmans in the final of the Geneva Open 2026 on Friday, May 22.
The Indo-Kiwi duo will look to carry their momentum into the summit clash as they chase their first ATP title together this season.
Bhambri has enjoyed a strong doubles run over the last few seasons and will now hope to cap off the tournament with a trophy-winning performance in Geneva.
