The Spanish ace Carlos Alcaraz has made a name for himself in the world of tennis and his Indian Wells record speaks volume as it is amongst the greatest achievements of his young career so far. The 21-year-old prodigy has won the prestigious Masters 1000 tournament twice and his win percentage is the best in the tournament history, leaving behind the three greats of the sport in Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
The best win percentage in Indian Wells tournament
Roger Federer (83.5%)
One of the most successful players of his era, Roger Federer has featured in nine finals at the Indian Wells and has five titles to his name. The Swiss international further reached three more semis and holds an impressive 66-13 record from the 18 appearances at the Masters 1000 event. This leaves the 20 time Grand Slam champion with a fifth best win percentage at the tournament.
Novak Djokovic (83.6%)
The Serbian and modern day great of Tennis, Novak Djokovic is tied with Federer as he too has won five titles in the desert. Not just this, but Djokovic is one of two men who have won the prestigious tournament three times in a row.
Heading in to the tournament, Djokovic boasts a record of 51-10 as he takes the fourth spot overall in terms of win percentage at the Indian Wells. The 24 times Grand Slam winner will start off his campaign as he takes on Botic van de Zandschulp in the opening match.
Rafael Nadal (84.2%)
Rafael Nadal did not win as many titles as his rivals but he has shared his amount of success in the desert as he has three titles to his name. He further reached two more finals and played six semi finals across his career. He holds a record of 59-11 at the Indian Wells. The 22 times Grand Slam winner holds the third place in the list for win percentage.
Jimmy Connors (85%)
During the opening decade of the tournament, Jimmy Connors was the greatest champion Indian Wells had ever seen. He had the same number of trophies as Nadal had in the desert.
The US tennis icon featured in three semi finals at the event and failed to reach the last eight on two occasions out of the 10 times he played in the tournament. He features second on the list with a impressive record of 34-6.
Carlos Alcaraz (88.9%)
Carlos Alcaraz has the best winning percentage at the prestigious Masters 1000 event. He has featured just four times before the 2025 Indian Wells event and has lifted the title twice in the past two years.
The four time Grand Slam winner has a sublime record of 16-2 and tops the list in terms of winning percentage.
