Logan Paul broke two Guinness World Records on Sunday, February 15, during his livestream. The occasion was the auction of Pokémon card, live on his official YouTube channel. Following Paul's big achievement, his Vision stalemate, Bronson Reed, dropped a message for him.
The Maverick sold his rare Pikachu trading card for a whopping $16,492,000. Paul wore it as part of a necklace during his entrance at WrestleMania 38, where he made his in-ring debut, teaming up with The Miz to face the Mysterios.
On X (FKA Twitter), Reed shared a reaction to the development by cheekily asking Paul to let him a dollar from the money he earned from the sale of the card.
"Ayo, let me hold a dollar," Reed wrote.
The auction took place in New Jersey on Sunday, February 15, ended early (2:00 am) on February 16. Paul set the Guinness World Record for the most expensive Pokémon trading card ever sold in a Public auction. The second Guinness World record he broke was for selling the most expensive trading card.
Logan Paul reveals real reason behind signing permanent WWE contract
However, The Maverick emphatically replied to his critics by announcing in his January 8 vlog that he has signed a new long-term, full-time contract with WWE. Since then, he has appeared more regularly on RAW as part of The Vision.
In an appearance on The Takedown on SI, Paul was questioned why he opted for a full-time schedule in the ring. The Maverick said that he felt he was too good to be part-time and believed that the company needed him more than ever.
“I realized I’m too good to leave all that meat on the bone. The WWE needs me. They need me. The audience needs me because there is no one like me. I needed to inject more of myself in this business that I am so clearly gifted in," he said.
The YouTuber-turned-Wrestler said it took him a long time to realise that Wrestling was his true passion.
“It took me 27 years to realize I was born to be a wrestler. And you look at the roster, you got some absolute gangsters in there: Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Austin Theory, my Wiseman now, Paul Heyman, but you didn’t have a Logan Paul,” he added.
It will be interesting to see if he can perform with his promotion in the company.
