India’s men’s hockey team delivered a dominant performance on Monday as they crushed Bangladesh 10-0 in their final Pool A match at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. The defending champions, already assured of a semi-final berth, finished the group stage unbeaten with a perfect record.
Captain Harmanpreet Singh led the scoring with a hat-trick as India produced a strong attacking display marked by clinical finishing and sharp teamwork. The defense of the team wa sstinning to not let the opponents break it even once. The Indian team is now just two wins away from the gold medal dream.

The result underlined India’s superiority in the competition, following earlier emphatic wins over Indonesia, Sri Lanka, South Korea and hosts Japan. Bangladesh, who had mixed results in the pool, were unable to contain the Indian attack.
India now advances to the semi-finals, where they will face arch-rivals Pakistan on 1 October. The winner of the Asian Games hockey tournament will also secure direct qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
