Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the 25-year-old is set to enter free agency at the end of the upcoming 2025 season which makes him an ideal trade candidate this year.

Since making his debut in Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2019 for the Toronto Blue Jays, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has made a name for himself.

As far as the Toronto Blue Jays are concerned, they have failed to extend Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in the offseason and there is an increasing interest from other teams to add a bat in their lineup.

What did MLB analyst Sal Licata say about Vladimir Guerrero Jr.?

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the 25-year-old is set to enter free agency at the end of the upcoming 2025 season which makes him an ideal trade candidate this year. As the New York Mets show interest in Guerrero Jr., MLB analyst Sal Licata feels there is a huge possibility that he might join Juan Soto in the NL East.

In the event that the Blue Jays cannot extend Vladimir Guerrero Jr., which they're trying to do so, there was deadline set by Guerrero saying, 'if we do not have an extension by the first day that we report as a team to Spring Training, I'm not talking extension any more

"In the event that they don't come to an extension with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the Blue Jays might say, we can't sign him therefore, we're going to trade him. The Mets have already inquired about trading for Vlad and it was more than what was just reported so there is smoke there. There's also the fact that Soto and Vlad are Dominicans, there's also the fact that Soto you know was promised more protection in that lineup. Those are all the facts... If the Blue Jays extend Vlad, then it's not going to happen. But until they do, that is a very real possibility," Licata added.

Since making his debut in Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2019 for the Toronto Blue Jays, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has made a name for himself. He is reaching the last year of his contract and still hasn't reached an agreement with the team.

MLB insider feels Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will reject Toronto Blue Jays final extension

The Toronto Blue Jays are trying their best to extend Vladimir Guerrero Jr. but during the course of the offseason, they have failed to reach an agreement. MLB insider Paul Hembekides has his say on the matter.

The Blue Jays must pay up to retain their homegrown star - they'll offer him a $400 million extension within the next month, but he'll reject their overtures and chase free agency instead.

It is noted that there is a limit on what the Blue Jays are offering Vladimir Guerrero Jr. but it is actually below his asking price. If both parties fail to reach an agreement before the Spring Training, then the slugger will most likely be on his way out.
