The WNBA is making history with its 2025 preseason by ensuring that, for the first time ever, fans can watch every single game via broadcast or streaming platforms.
This year’s preseason slate includes 15 games, all of which will be available on various media platforms. ESPN, ION, and NBA TV will feature select games, while the full lineup will be accessible on WNBA League Pass. The final game will air on ESPN, rounding out a season that meets rising fan demand for more WNBA content.
“We’ve seen the demand for WNBA content grow exponentially and we are meeting that demand by working with our broadcast partners and our teams to make a significant investment by making all 15 preseason games available to WNBA fans,” said Colie Edison, WNBA’s Chief Growth Officer.
Caitlin Clark Set for Emotional Return to Iowa in Preseason Clash
Arguably one of the most talked-about moments in the preseason is the Indiana Fever's clash against Brazil's women's national basketball team that is slated for the Carver-Hawkeye Arena of the University of Iowa. This marks Caitlin Clark's homecoming and is set for Sunday, May 4, at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN.
When do the 2025 WNBA Preseason Activations Begin?
The preseason got officially rolling Friday, May 2, with two riveting openers: Paige Bueckers hit the floor with the Dallas Wings preseason opposite the Las Vegas Aces; while the Brazilian national team played the Chicago Sky. All games were on ION.
Oregon Preseason Wrap-up with International Clash
The preseason culminates on May 12 as Japan's Toyota Antelopes from the Women's Basketball League face-off against the New York Liberty at Matthew Knight Arena, University of Oregon. This international fixture emphasizes the league's growing appeal worldwide.
Caitlin Clark Fever's Schedule
On May 3rd, Clark's first preseason game with the Indiana Fever was against the Washington Mystics, with tip-off at 1 p.m. ET, which was aired on NBA TV from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Her second game would be the much-anticipated return to Iowa.
