LeBron James made further history on Friday, when he scored 30 points against the Atlanta Hawks to become the player with the most 30-pointers in the history of the NBA. It was King James' 563rd 30-pointer, leaving the legend Michael Jordan behind. The achievement felt even sweeter to the LA Lakers as the team scripted a convincing win over the Hawks, with a 119-102 scoreline.

Anthony Davis Takes a Gentle Dig at LeBron James

Following the culmination of the game, James' Lakers teammate and fellow forward Anthony Davis was asked about LeBron's exceptional feat. Addressing the same, AD took a gentle swipe at LeBron, pointing out that it took him seven more seasons than the great Michael Jordan to reach the same stage where MJ stood 23 years ago. Hence, Jordan may keep the bragging rights in the GOAT debate as he set the record in 1072 games over 15 seasons, whereas James reached the same pinnacle after 1,523 appearances in over 22 seasons.

After taking an initial dig, Davis highlighted how he was the number one fan of LeBron James growing up.

I was actually, growing up, I was number one LeBron, that was my area. So, I mean, that’s obviously a hell of an accomplishment.

Showering respect towards his teammate, Davis highlighted that James is the best in almost every aspect of the game, it has been an utmost pleasure to witness him stacking a plethora of achievements.

I think he’s probably number one in everything at this point. But I’ve been here long enough to witness so many accomplishments, man. So, I’m definitely grateful to be here, and I just wanna keep stacking.

LeBron James Going Strong at 40

James turned "40" last week and still playing at a high level, where he is constantly breaching the 30-point mark, week in and week out. James is already the all-time highest scorer in the history of the NBA, and not many heads are now remaining where LeBron is not at the top. Therefore, while the sky is not the limit for him anymore, it will be intriguing to witness where the Lakers' forward will put an exclamation point to this career. The fans nevertheless would never get enough of King James and would want him to continue for as long as he can.
