Bad news for Golden State Warriors

There was a bit of hope for the Warriors, as it was reported that Curry would be back for the last eight games of the regular season, but the recent updates suggest otherwise.

On Friday, known NBA journalist Shams Charania, revealed that Curry would continue to sit on the sidelines because of the injury and would likely be re-evaluated next week.

Golden State's Stephen Curry will be re-examined next week as he attempts to ramp up again with his ailing knee," Shams Charania wrote. "Sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. This extends his prolonged absence to at least 25 straight games after he was unable to scrimmage this week as previously hoped," Shams wrote in a Tweet.

Stephen Curry's stats

Stephen Curry last suited up for the Warriors in their 131-124 loss against the Detroit Piston in January. Since that game, Curry went on to miss 25 games and could miss the next two games as well.

In the ongoing season, Stephen Curry has managed to average 27.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists. His absence could make a negative impact in Warriors' conclusion of the regular season.
