Caitlin Clark To Miss NBA All-Star Weekend

The hopes to catch a glimpse of Clark in the pre-season have seemingly faded away she has reportedly declined to star in the 2025 NBA All-Star weekend. Since Sabrina Ionescu competed against none other than Stephen Curry in a similar format last season, Clark is expected to do the same. However, as per a recent report by Sports Business Journal, the former No.1 overall pick is set to give a pass to the invitation to follow the steps of Ionescu.

"Caitlin Clark has told the NBA she is disinclined to participate in an All-Star Game 3-point contest next month that could include Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Sabrina Ionescu," the report said. "Sources said Clark is not interested in shooting 3-pointers off of a ball rack -- considering her practice regimen consists only of catch-and-shoot 3-pointers or shots off the dribble -- and, unless she is persuaded otherwise, she will decline the invitation."

Another insider close to Clark said it's not "over until the thing happens," implying that the Fever star's crew is still considering the notion.

One final idea is that instead of Clark competing in the NBA All-Star weekend, an NBA player such as Steph Curry might face the Fever star during the 2025 WNBA All-Star weekend.

In any case, it's disappointing news for those who were hoping Clark would perform in front of an NBA audience in February 2025.
